Key points

What the comparison includes

Enter your rental structure, rent, agency fees and the RentSeekr plan you want to compare. The report separates rental income from selected management costs and shows the assumptions used. Access is currently limited; contact RentSeekr if you cannot open the calculator.

Before entering an agency proposal

  • Confirm whether the percentage includes GST.
  • Separate recurring management fees from letting, advertising, inspection, renewal and administration fees.
  • Check minimum charges and exclusions.
  • Use the same rent and vacancy assumptions when comparing options.

Worked example: compare responsibility as well as cost

Imagine an owner who lives two hours from the rental and works during the day. A cheaper software plan does not arrange a local inspection or provide emergency attendance. Before comparing the numbers, the owner lists who would do each job. This is a hypothetical planning example, not a claim about RentSeekr service availability.

Prepare your inputs

  • Use the same weekly rent and time period for each option.
  • List recurring charges separately from once-per-tenancy charges.
  • Record paid help needed for tasks you cannot do yourself.
  • Keep a separate note of your expected time; the calculator cannot value it for you.
  • Review the displayed preview prices and availability before relying on the comparison.

What it cannot decide

The result cannot measure the value of local expertise, availability, tenant communication, compliance support or the owner’s time. Review the service scope and your capacity alongside the numeric estimate.
