PROPERTIES & APPLICATIONS
Use Messages and connections
Find conversations, manage your own inbox and recover a failed send without confusing chat with formal service.
Before you begin
These instructions apply to authorised existing users when the workflow is enabled. Public customer sign-up and sign-in are currently paused. A help page does not grant account or record access.
Use your own enabled account and a conversation or connection you can access. Listing enquiries, inspection activity and supported application/lease sharing can create contextual conversations. A workspace role alone does not grant membership.
What to do
- Open Messages. Use Connections to review an incoming request or start the offered connection path. Select a conversation from your inbox, or use search and filters to find it.
- Write the message and, where offered, attach an image or share a supported RentSeekr item. Check the recipient and preview before sending. Replies, reactions and message pins help keep context together.
- Use your conversation controls to pin, mute or archive it. Restore an archived conversation from the archived view. Group administration and leaving a group are offered only where applicable.
- For a failed message, use its retry control. Reopen the same conversation after an unclear result to see whether the message was already stored.
Expected result
A successful send appears in the conversation. Sending, receipt and read information describe different events. Inbox mute/archive choices do not delete another participant’s copy or withdraw a notice.
Privacy and limitations
Blocking or removing a conversation affects the supported contact/inbox relationship; it is not a promise to erase retained rental evidence. Avoid sending passwords, invitation codes or unrelated private documents. Chat, an unread/read marker and an in-app update do not establish formal service of a legal notice. If connection or membership changed, refresh and use the shown access state rather than forwarding a private link.
