Tenancy stages and timing

How saved lifecycle states differ from date-based views of an agreement.

Saved lifecycle

Scheduled is a future tenancy awaiting commencement processing. Active is the saved current state. Ending records a started ending process. Ended and cancelled preserve history. These saved states change through the supported lifecycle process, not merely because you opened a page.

Saved state versus evidence

Opening a page or recording one related item does not perform every lifecycle action.

Saved state versus evidence
Saved stateProduct meaningReview separately
ScheduledAn eligible tenancy is provisioned for its recorded commencement.Readiness, handover, agreement and entry-report evidence.
ActiveThe current saved operational state.Current term, rent/entry authority, repairs and outstanding records.
EndingA supported ending process has started.Source findings, actual possession return and unfinished work.
EndedThe operational end is recorded and history retained.Legal-end findings, original exit evidence, goods and settlement.
CancelledThe supported cancellation is retained in history. Its source and any remaining financial/evidence review.

Date-based view

The timing view uses the tenancy’s local date and ordered terms. It can show upcoming, activation pending, current, periodic, term review, ending or history. Activation pending means commencement arrived while the record is still scheduled. Term review means an applicable fixed term has passed without silently recording an end or periodic conversion.

Reviewing a boundary

Open the linked agreement and check the current term and next recorded term. A future renewal becomes applicable at its recorded local date; the earlier term remains history. A term boundary is a product review point, not a notice deadline.

Recovery and limits

A paused scheduler can leave saved lifecycle behind the date view. Refreshing is read-only. Use the existing review or setup controls where offered; do not create another tenancy. National timezone support does not itself enable every jurisdiction’s operational workflows.

Scope and independent ending records

A room advertisement or downloadable agreement does not itself permit automatic operational tenancy setup. In an ending tenancy, agreement termination, actual possession, lifecycle state and administrative closure can have different review states. Read the linked evidence instead of using one saved label to decide legal effect or financial settlement.
