Renewal terms and exact party-agreement changes
Explain proposal, execution, application and effective dates as separate steps.
Terms are not the lifecycle label
The tenancy keeps its agreement/term history while its operational lifecycle is scheduled, active, ending, ended or cancelled. A fixed-term boundary can create a review prompt; it does not itself end the relationship or record periodic continuation. A future signed term is different from the term applicable today.
Change progression
Read the exact workflow’s tracker and any holds.
| Step | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Prepare proposal | Dates, parties and evidence are being assembled. |
| Send / review | The named parties review a particular proposal version. |
| Execute | All required signatures apply to that exact version. |
| Apply / progress | The supported operation checks current evidence and revision before updating the tenancy. |
| Effective boundary | A recorded future change becomes relevant at its supported local date/time boundary. |
Renewal and periodic continuation
A provider uses the offered renewal action to create lease preparation tied to the tenancy. Execution and supported handoff add the intended term while preserving the previous agreement. Periodic continuation has its own recorded reason and availability checks. Neither a draft renewal nor a term-review label should be treated as applied continuation.
Party changes and individual decisions
A supported party agreement identifies the exact proposed change, parties, effective date and required evidence. Each required person records their own signature/response. Executed evidence is not a generic authorisation to alter other household members. Applying the change may update participant access at its effective boundary; signing alone does not establish that current access already changed.
Conflict and recovery
Changed revisions, overlapping terms, missing evidence or legal-end findings can block progression. Reopen the current proposal and tenancy, compare their tracker and use the offered review/retry action. Do not create a duplicate proposal to bypass a hold. Product completion is distinct from legal validity or eligibility; those require current official guidance or individual advice for the circumstances.
