Obligations, recurring duties and reminder records

Read recorded responsibilities and reminders without treating missing information as an overdue legal obligation.

Recorded responsibility

An obligation records its title, responsible participant, category, date/basis, status and evidence note. A recurring duty records a repeated planning/record pattern. The product records the entered basis; it does not create a legal duty simply because a row exists or is absent.

Dates and completion

Use the date’s stated basis and source. A suggested planning date differs from a sourced legal date. Record completion only for the action that occurred; a completed checkbox is evidence of that entry, not a compliance audit. Missing dates require review rather than an invented overdue label.

Reminder states

These describe supported in-app records, not external service.

Reminder states
StateMeaning
UnreadThe current notification has not been marked read.
ReadThe account recorded that it was read.
WithdrawnThe notification is no longer a current reminder.
Unavailable / loadingThe section has not supplied a current verified read.

Delivery and dashboard scope

Email/push preferences and a saved reminder do not guarantee external delivery. Existing release gates can pause delivery/background processing. Landlord dashboard Next Steps currently projects tenancy-summary warnings, handover, commencement, term and ending records; it does not aggregate every recurring duty, repair, visit or financial case. Open the tenancy’s fuller Next actions and records.

Recovery and limitations

Retry an independent failed refresh, then review the current source record and history. Marking a reminder read or hiding an optional directory suggestion does not discharge an obligation. There is no new dashboard snooze/dismissal store that can silently remove records. This documentation does not determine statutory deadlines, completion requirements or legal consequences.
