Prepare, submit and review applications

Follow the enabled application workflow and distinguish an application from a signed agreement.

Before you begin

These instructions apply to authorised existing users when the workflow is enabled. Public customer sign-up and sign-in are currently paused. A help page does not grant account or record access.

An application needs an eligible rental offer and its enabled intake. Prepare accurate information and only the documents the workflow requests. Providers should review the actual application rather than infer a decision from a status.

What to do

  1. Renters: open the offer’s application action, complete the required sections and resolve validation errors. Review the submission before confirming it.
  2. Renters: return to Applications to check the saved submission and any supported follow-up. A saved draft has not been submitted.
  3. Providers: open Applications, select the relevant record and review its submitted information and version. Use the available action to progress the chosen application towards lease preparation.

Expected result

A submission preserves the version reviewed in the workflow. Preparing or signing an application does not sign a rental agreement. Providers make the selection decision; RentSeekr does not choose a suitable tenant.

When something goes wrong

Check the intake state, required fields and upload messages. A closed or unsupported application cannot be bypassed by refreshing. If a PDF or submission outcome is uncertain, reopen the existing record before retrying; avoid duplicate submissions. Do not send private application files through the public contact form.

Profile, intake and amendments

Renters can prepare a reusable application profile, but must review the information copied into each application. Providers review the selected intake’s disclosure of the premises address/room name and permitted document purposes before enabling it. A supported amendment request identifies the allowed categories and creates a further reviewed submission; earlier versions remain evidence.
