Account verification, recovery and email changes
Understand verified email, sign-in checks and the confirmation stages that protect changes to your account.
Email verification and sign-in
Account creation asks for a role and acceptance of the terms. Confirm the account email with the email instructions before signing in. Inbox confirmation checks control of that address; it is not proof of identity, ownership or rental suitability. An additional email code can be required when sign-in verification is enabled.
Know which step you are completing
Follow the newest instructions on the displayed account page.
| Stage | What it establishes | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Verification sent | A confirmation request, not a signed-in account. | Check your inbox and spam folder; use the offered resend option. |
| Email verified | The email confirmation completed. | Use Continue for the permitted destination. |
| Reset email requested | A request was accepted; the public response does not reveal whether an account exists. | Open the newest reset email in the requesting browser. |
| Password saved | The reset confirmation reports completion. | Sign in again; a request or opened link alone is not completion. |
Changing your account email
Where the email-change control is available, start in Settings with the current password and proposed new address. Approve through the current inbox, re-enter the exact proposed address, then confirm through the new inbox and complete the displayed account checks. A request or first approval does not change the sign-in address. Keep access to both inboxes until completion.
Expired links, interrupted changes and safe returns
Request a fresh link through the offered recovery control. Do not keep retrying an expired or already-used link. If a save outcome is uncertain, check progress before starting another change. Sign-in can restore an allowed property or draft destination; access is still checked for the signed-in account. Never share passwords, codes or full verification links with support.
