Bring an existing tenancy into RentSeekr
Set up a Victorian whole-property tenancy you already manage, or prepare a handover from an agent.
Start with the property
Choose the rental already saved in Properties. Its verified address is reused for the tenancy. If you have not added it yet, create a private property first. Creating a property does not publish an advert or start a new tenancy.
Choose your pathway
Choose I already manage this rental to bring your current records together. Choose I’m moving from an agent to record the handover arrangements and opening position. Neither pathway replaces the existing tenancy or ends an agency agreement for you.
What to do
- Choose the verified property, then work through the original agreement, named renters and contacts.
- Record the agency handover where applicable, rent schedule and opening figures. Keep unknown or disputed amounts marked separately.
- Attach the original documents you need and review the saved preparation. Use Save & exit to return later.
- Finish setup for now to save privately. When activation is available, separately confirm your records, actual management commencement and the access or billing terms displayed.
What finishing setup does
Private preparation is free and needs no card. Finishing the steps does not contact an agent or renters, activate management, sign a replacement agreement or start billing. RentSeekr does not review or approve the tenancy for the landlord. You check the records and remain responsible for the handover and management decisions.
Inviting the renters
Use the individual invitation controls offered for the active tenancy. Each named renter verifies their own inbox before opening the shared records. Joining the workspace does not itself require a new application, replacement agreement or bond. The existing tenancy continues with or without an account.
Moving from an agent
Review the agency agreement and arrange the handover directly with the agent. Check any prepared communication or download before sending it yourself, then record what actually happened. A saved document is not proof the agent received or accepted it.
Removing unfinished preparation
Use Options and read the removal confirmation. Removing the setup does not delete the property or its original files, cancel an existing tenancy or erase records that must be retained. Current onboarding supports ordinary Victorian whole-property tenancies; activation and invitations retain their separate availability checks.
